A tailoring business built on fit
What has kept the shop on Station Road since 1990 is plain: garments that fit the person who wears them, and a process that checks the fit before anything is finished.
Kachins Tailors serves Visnagar and the surrounding area with made-to-measure menswear — formal suits, shirts and trousers for work and occasions, alongside sherwanis, koti and kurta-pyjama sets for weddings and traditional dress. The range spans contemporary and traditional styles, but the work is the same: every garment is measured, cut, stitched and fitted to the wearer.
Orders begin with a conversation — the garment, the occasion, the fabric and the fit — so nothing is cut until the decisions are made. Measurements are taken in the shop, the garment is stitched there, and you try it on before it is finished.

How we work
Measure, construct, fit, finish
Four steps, in the same order for every garment — a shirt, a suit or a sherwani. No turnaround time is promised; the fit is worked out on you.
Step 01
Measurements
Every order is measured on the wearer — never read from a size chart. Collars, shoulders, waists, inseams and lengths are recorded against the order before the cloth is touched.
Step 02
Garment construction
The cloth is cut to the agreed measurements and the garment is stitched together in the shop. Fabric, style details and closures are settled at the consultation before cutting.
Step 03
Fitting
You try the garment on after stitching so the fit can be checked and adjusted — across the shoulders, through the body, and at the length. The number of fittings depends on the garment.
Step 04
Finishing
After adjustments, the garment is finished, pressed and checked before you collect it. This is the last step, not an afterthought — a pressed, checked garment leaves the shop ready to wear.

Traditional
Sherwanis, koti and kurta-pyjama sets for weddings, festivals and ceremonies — traditional garments respected for their own cut, from the long sherwani to the short koti over a kurta.
